The obvious turning of Syria towards the market economy has become one of the most changes which has taken place on the economic activity in Syria with the focusing on the significance of such change and the capability it achieves to face the great economic changes which have occurred and continuously occurring

The statistics indicate that the economic growth rate in Syria has become 4.5 % in the year 2006 which recorded less than a zero during the year 2000. Such growth could be attributed to the governmental policies that are based upon a clear vision of the economic reform and which take the development of the financial and monetary policy and the guaranteeing of the central Bank independence into consideration

May be like the role of the " central country " which has been carried out by Syria throughout history. More and more in its important and vigorous new role its living these days. Being close to several points described as " hot " points on international levels and being centered amongst these points shared in making it a central bowl with all the surrounding activities including the leading of the economical activities of these hot points

But this new-old role especially economically is confirmed by the existence of a fair structure able to serve all these exhibitions with accordance to the international standards. Starting with the vast and modern fair ground which is the largest in the region to the service structure of restaurants, hotels, transportation, without overlooking the top safety status lived in Syria distinguishing it from many of the surrounding countries
